The Logistics and Support Technician assists in overseeing the efficient management of vehicles, systems, and disks integral to US data operations. They monitor and log vehicle status and maintenance to minimize downtime within the vehicle fleet as well as acquire and manage rental vehicles when necessary. This role involves directing systems and disks to specific locations for US Data Capture, requiring close coordination with US Field Operations and our Netherlands-based team. The Logistics and Support Technician assists in planning system allocations, overseeing all operations-based shipping and receiving, and managing data synchronization from field resources.
This role is based in our Madison, WI office.
Job Duties
Coordinates and ensures availability of the US vehicle fleet with lease and rental agencies to meet data collection demands.
Prepares new and rental vehicles for use by acquiring and assembling custom interior and exterior mounting systems.
Monitors and administers preventive, routine and non-routine maintenance of fleet vehicles.
Serves as internal technical support for system hardware and software, and vehicles in the field.
Monitors and logs vehicle and system information including outages, damage, and online recording metrics.
Oversees all shipping and receiving requirements through our carriers to ensure disks and systems are available when needed.
Works with Project Managers, IT Ops, and QA/QC to receive and sync disks from the field.
Job requirements
Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business is preferred.
Experience in Technology or Electronics Repair desired
Prior experience with automotive repair preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office and work in a Microsoft Windows environment
Valid driver’s license required
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
