We are excited to grow our GIS team with the addition of a new GIS Specialist - Transportation!
In this role, your primary role will performing spatial analyses for our transportation projects while also supporting the GIS needs across the business. You will collaborate globally and cross functionally to help identify, develop, and deliver special analyses that meet the needs of our transportation customers. This role is part of a team using ArcGIS products and python-based scripting to solve complex geospatial problems. You will also work closely with our Delivery Managers and QA team to ensure the quality of complex spatial projects.
We are seeking candidates to join us in our Madison, WI office.
Job Duties
Attends internal and external customer meetings to help interpret and implement transportation customer’s business rules.
Performs spatial analyses for various projects and internal processes.
Shares scripting duties with the rest of the GIS team.
Coordinates with Delivery Managers and QA team to assist with more complex spatial quality checks.
Designs and runs pre and post-delivery data quality analyses.
Provides support to Senior DEAs when they assist with GIS processes.
Job requirements
Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in any Geoscience field is preferred.
Advanced understanding of geospatial concepts is required.
Experienced in ArGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise
Experienced in Python
Prior experience with linear referencing systems and a basic understanding of scripting languages is required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and work in a Microsoft Windows environment.
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines.
Excellent written, verbal, and social communication skills.
