Position Overview

We are growing and looking to add a Project Manager – Pavement Operations to our U.S. based Operations team. 

 

This role is responsible for overseeing the complete project lifecycle for projects containing pavement analysis for our State Department of Transportation and Local Government customers.  The Project Manager – Pavement Operations will work side by side with global cross functional teams beginning with the RFP process to ensure successful execution and delivery of all assigned projects.  This role partners with our Sales team to understand the customer’s needs, assist in the development of the project scope and execute on the project post signature. They are responsible for customer communication focused on project progress and updates along with setting and managing project expectations. They collaborate with our internal teams to ensure that the delivery is on time and meets the agreed upon project scope, schedule, and financial targets.

 

The successful applicant must be able to work efficiently with technical teams, be a skilled communicator, and be adept at influencing without authority.

 

Our ideal candidate is based on Madison, WI to join us in our office. However we would consider a remote position for the right experience.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Delivers projects to meet as-sold project margins (i.e. manage scope, schedule and budget to plan).  

  • Tracks internal and external progress of projects for clients.  

  • Leads client communication throughout the life cycle of the project via meetings, phone calls and emails.

  • Manages requirements and influences internal teams to ensure projects are completed and client needs are met.

  • Meets and collaborates with teammates to assess requirements/procedures, direct, and coordinate projects.  

  • Collaborates with our Sales team during the Sales process and ensures a smooth transition into the project execution phase.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, GIS or IT.  

  • P.E. Certification is a plus

  • Project Management certification such as CAPM, PMP, or Prince2 is a plus

  • 5+ years Experience working with Local or State Departments of Transportation on pavement projects is preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Visio is a plus  

  • Proficient in utilizing Jira for project management

  • Prior experience with GIS software is desired.

  • Ability to be dynamic and problem solve when internal or external issues arise. 

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, communication and project management skills.
