Business Development Intern

  • Hybrid
    • Netherlands

Job description

The Opportunity

Cyclomedia is a fast-growing, PE-backed international technology company on a mission to digitise and make sense of the physical world. With over 40 years of expertise in capturing street-level imagery and geospatial data, our technology supports governments, utilities, and businesses across Europe and the United States in making their operations safer, smarter, and more sustainable.

We are looking for a driven and commercially minded Business Development Intern to join our headquarters in Zaltbommel for a six-month, full-time internship. Working directly alongside our Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and the Sales management team, you will gain meaningful exposure to B2B commercial strategy, SMB market development, and go-to-market execution — from the inside.

This is not an administrative internship. You will contribute to real projects, take ownership of defined workstreams, and work closely with experienced commercial leaders who are invested in your development.

Working closely with the CCO and Sales management team, your responsibilities will include:

•       Supporting the development and execution of SMB go-to-market strategies in the Dutch market, contributing directly to commercial planning discussions.

•       Conducting structured market research and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities, target segments, and whitespace in the market.

•       Assisting with prospect outreach, pipeline development, and lead qualification, gaining hands-on exposure to the full B2B sales cycle.

•       Preparing high-quality commercial presentations, proposals, and internal business reports for use with the CCO and sales leadership.

•       Analysing sales performance data and translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations.

•       Collaborating across Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to support commercial initiatives and cross-functional projects.

•       Coordinating and preparing materials for client meetings, commercial reviews, and strategic projects as directed by the CCO.

•       Managing your own workstreams and deliverables with a proactive, organised approach.

Job requirements

Essential:

•       Currently pursuing or recently completing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, International Business, or a closely related discipline.

•       Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, professional-level proficiency is required; Dutch is an advantage.

•       Strong analytical mindset with the ability to structure complex problems and present findings clearly and concisely.

•       Proactive, self-starting attitude with a genuine interest in B2B sales, business development, and commercial strategy.

•       Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, international environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

•       Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Preferred:

•       Previous internship or work experience in a commercial, sales, or business development environment.

•       Demonstrated experience managing projects or workstreams independently, whether through university, extracurricular activities, or prior work.

•       Experience working with structured data.

•       Interest in or exposure to B2B technology, geospatial solutions, or infrastructure sectors.

Practical Details

•       Duration: Six months, full-time.

•       Location: Cyclomedia HQ, Zaltbommel, the Netherlands, several days per week in the office.

•       Start date: As soon as possible.

•       Reporting to: Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), with day-to-day collaboration across the Sales management team.

What We Offer

•       Genuine responsibility and meaningful commercial projects from day one, not administrative support.

•       Direct access to senior leadership, including the CCO and Sales management team, with active mentorship and feedback.

•       Exposure to a scaling, PE-backed international technology company operating across Europe and the United States.

•       A collaborative, ambitious team culture at our Zaltbommel headquarters.

•       Competitive internship compensation.

•       A strong professional foundation in B2B business development and commercial strategy to carry forward in your career.
