Director of Data Operations - US

About the Role

Cyclomedia is hiring an operational leader to run our Data Capture and Customer Support teams in the US. You will own end-to-end delivery of all US capture operations, DCR and Pavement, making sure the imagery and data our clients rely on is captured on time, on budget, and at the quality they expect.

You will plan, forecast, and execute capture programs across DCR and Pavement, build a staffing and equipment base that can absorb risk, and get ahead of issues before they reach our operations. You will also lead our Customer Support team and act as a direct point of contact for key US clients, so they get clear, timely engagement on delivery status, escalations, and adoption of our products.

This role is customer-facing and works closely with Sales and Finance. You will regularly represent Operations in front of clients, including status calls, escalation conversations, and account reviews.

This position is part of the global leadership team of Operations and works closely with your counterpart in Europe and with the Global Director of Data Insights Operations to keep capture and delivery aligned across regions.

Job Duties

• Lead and grow the US Data Capture and Customer Support teams, owning both day-to-day operations and team development.

• Own all capture operations, DCR and Pavement, from planning through delivery, meeting schedule, budget, and quality targets on both lines.

• Plan and forecast DCR and Pavement capture programs, balancing camera systems, vehicles, drivers, and equipment to keep projects on time.

• Build and maintain a flexible pool of people and equipment to absorb seasonal demand, weather disruption, and shifting client priorities.

• Act as a direct point of contact for key US clients: lead status calls, handle escalations, and represent Operations in account reviews.

• Run initiatives that improve efficiency, cut cost, and raise the operational maturity of DCR and Pavement capture.

• Sit on the global Operations leadership team, working closely with your European counterpart and the Global Director of DI Operations to keep capture and delivery aligned across regions.

• Build project plans and tracking that surface risk early, and report status and recommendations to the leadership team.

• Meet budget targets and back recommendations with financial and schedule data.

• Own customer success: make sure clients are supported, engaged, and actively using our products after delivery.

• Define and track customer success metrics, and act on them to improve the support experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, plus 10+ years of operations management experience, required.

• 10+ years as a manager and leader in an operational environment, required.

• Direct client-facing experience, comfortable leading calls and meetings with external clients, required.

• Strong operational project management skills, required.

• Experience overseeing field capture, fleet, or large-scale data collection operations, strongly preferred.

• Knowledge of imagery, geospatial, or pavement assessment products is a plus.

• Proactive, able to build structure and process in an environment that doesn't have much yet, required.

• Self-starter with strong time management and organizational skills.

• Able to prioritize and run multiple projects and deadlines at once.

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
