Job description
Cyclomedia excels at capturing real-world imagery and transforming it into highly accurate, valuable insights. Our mission is to digitize the outside world on a large scale, with high accuracy in 2D and 3D, as shown in this preview.
The large-scale geospatial data collection, visualization, and analysis enables sectors like governments, telco, and utilities to assess and plan work in the outside space. Leading to e.g. safe navigation from A to B, environmental sustainability, and improved connectivity for future generations.
Cyclomedia is uniquely positioned as we cover the entire mobile mapping value chain with patented hardware, processing and AI) data analytics. Through our APIs and our Street Smart application, we provide access to this valuable data.
We’re looking for a new Chapter Lead to join our Platform & Capture tribes. This is a hands-on leadership role combining backend engineering expertise in C#/.NET and AKS with mentoring and strategic direction. You’ll help shape our engineering culture, contribute to scalable cloud-native development, and support cross-functional collaboration.
Technical Contribution
Actively contribute to backend and full-stack development, maintaining the same technical standards and expertise as other engineers, including API design, microservices, and cloud-native development using C#/.NET and AKS.People Development
Mentor and coach chapter members, conduct performance reviews, and support individual growth through tailored development plans and regular feedback.Chapter Leadership
Foster a high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative engineering culture across the Platform and Capture tribes.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with product owners, DevOps, frontend teams, and other chapter leads to align on delivery goals and technical strategy.Strategic Direction
Shape the chapter’s technical roadmap, contribute to architectural decisions, and support long-term capability building.Hiring & Onboarding
Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and integration of new team members to ensure a smooth and effective transition.Continuous Improvement
Drive initiatives that improve developer experience, team productivity, and system reliability.Knowledge Sharing
Encourage learning through internal talks, documentation, and peer-to-peer collaboration.
Job requirements
5+ years of professional software development experience, with strong expertise in backend engineering and cloud-native environments
Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring, performance management, and fostering team growth
Strong analytical and debugging skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with a good command of English
Experience working in Agile environments, with familiarity in frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban
Strategic thinking and planning abilities, with a focus on aligning chapter goals with broader engineering and product objectives
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
